Review Policy and Procedures

If you or your company are interested in having Best Ham Radio review a product, please read this page in its entirety. Contacting me regarding a potential review is considered acceptance of the terms outlined below.

  1. Honesty First
    I do not publish advertorials or paid reviews in any form—whether compensation is offered via cash, trade, gifts, or products. All reviews are based solely on my honest, independent evaluation. If this is not acceptable, please look elsewhere. No exceptions.

  2. Each Product Stands Alone
    A positive review of your brand’s Product A does not imply a favorable review of your brand’s Product B. Every product is reviewed on its own merits, without bias from previous reviews.

  3. Free Products ≠ Guaranteed Results
    Sending a product does not guarantee a favorable review, nor does it ensure a specific review timeline. Reviews are completed according to my existing schedule and testing queue.

  4. Return Policy
    If you require the product to be returned after review, this must be arranged before shipment. You will be responsible for providing a prepaid return label or otherwise covering return shipping costs.

  5. Technical Contact Encouraged
    If possible, please provide a direct point of contact for technical questions or support. Quick, helpful responses are appreciated and positively noted. Conversely, lack of accessible support may be mentioned in the review.

  6. Where Your Product May Be Featured
    Depending on its relevance and uniqueness, your product may be included in one or more of the following:

    • A full review on this website

    • A getting started guide available on Amazon

    • A video review (coming in 2025)

    • Inclusion in our HT Comparison Tool, where specifications and test data are featured side-by-side with other radios
      All content format decisions are made at my discretion based on content needs and platform fit.

  7. Relevant Products Only
    This site primarily covers handheld radios for amateur radio (ham) use. I also occasionally feature related equipment such as GMRS, FRS, MURS, CB, and useful accessories. If your product is not clearly similar to those already featured, please reach out before sending anything—I do welcome new ideas, but within reason.
